1 United Family is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that addresses the leading cause of death, heart disease by partnering with schools, institutions, community organizations, state and government agencies, corporations, and other organizations to provide education, programs, community outreach, and events that focus on preventing heart
disease to underserved communities. We provide heart disease prevention education, wellness programs, and professional services to families affected by heart disease.
Our Founder, Charletta Dawson, lost both her mother and son to heart disease. After these tragedies, she was on the search for answers and discovered that heart disease
was a preventable disease. She understood the importance of heart disease awareness, which inspired her to save lives by providing heart disease prevention education.
Charletta set out on a mission to save lives by reducing the number of heart disease deaths and founded 1 United Family. She is committed to providing community outreach programs and events that focused on heart disease prevention in underserved
communities.
